7 Restaurants For the Best Food - Pensacola, FL
We love trying Pensacola restaurants. After a year of living here, these are our top picks for restaurants in Pensacola!
Pensacola Best Restaurants – Our Top Picks Ranked
1. Siam Thai – Our Pick for Pensacola Best Restaurant
Siam Thai is one of Pensacola’s best kept secrets. Although the location of this restaurant is not anything special, the food is simply amazing and the staff are great. So far I’ve tried the pad thai, chicken cashew nuts, basil fried rice, chicken satay, yellow curry, and stir fried beef with garlic and pepper sauce. All were incredible and presented beautifully. We especially liked the cute pot the tea came in and the teacups.
Additionally, the prices aren’t bad for what you get. Be careful because once you try this place you may get hooked!
2. The Wine Bar and Market – Runner Up for Best Pensacola Restaurant
Similar to Siam Thai, The Wine Bar does not look great from the outside. However, if you give it a chance it will be worth it. The Wine Bar is one of my favorites among all the Pensacola restaurants I’ve tried.
This restaurant is located in a market as the name suggests. Before or after you eat you can walk around and look at the different specialty food items in the market. There are some tables in the market area where the beautiful brick oven is.
But, to the right of the market eating area there is a back room that has a more fancy and cozy vibe. We got the baked brie as an appetizer which was good, but we did have to pay extra for bread which was a little disappointing considering the appetizer was already $14. With that being said, it was very good.
We ended up getting bread with some of our main dishes anyway, but the brie came out first, so if you want to use the main bread to dip in the brie you may want to have the brie come out with the main dishes. Although the brie was good, the main dishes were excellent and we probably didn’t even need the brie. I definitely recommend this spot for the atmosphere and food.
Last note about this spot is that they were out of quite a few things when we went. So if I were you, I would ask if they are out of anything when you arrive so that you are not disappointed when you go to order.
3. Khon’s on Palafox
Unlike the above restaurants, Khon’s is in a great location. The inside of the restaurant is a bit small, but the atmosphere is nice and I would definitely recommend inside vs outside for seating unless the weather is nice.
For food I’ve liked everything I’ve tried but specifically recommend the ramen pad thai and the sushi. If you like a bit of spice, I also recommend the udon dashi bowl.
4. Wako Japanese Cuisine
Wako is a sushi and hibachi restaurant that offers all you can eat in addition to regular meals. It’s a lot like Sushi Masa, which is another popular restaurant in Pensacola. We like Wako better because they have some outdoor seating and because it’s smaller and less chaotic than Sushi Masa.
I also think the sushi is better than the hibachi, but both are included in the all you can eat. Just keep in mind that if you don’t finish what the restaurant deems too much food when you opt for the all you can eat they may charge you a fee for wasting food.
5. Juan’s Flying Burrito
Juan’s is a cute little Mexican restaurant nestled not too far from downtown Pensacola. There are tons of options for food. You can get any of the classic options in addition to street tacos by the taco which is nice if you aren’t that hungry, want to mix and match fillings, or want to get a taco and a main dish.
They have outdoor seating in the front and back which is lovely on a nice day. Keep an eye on the time because happy hour is from 2-6 pm daily!
6. Pho Golden Palace
This homey spot is great if you like pho/other Vietnamese food. They do a nice set up with all the classic pho toppings. It’s the kind of place that’s normally busy even on a random Thursday. Because of the generous portions, I also was able to take my leftovers to-go in a soup container and eat it the next day.
7. The Tuscan Oven Pizzeria – Honorable Mention for Pensacola Restaurants
Tuscan Oven made this list for their pizza because the first time we had it, it was amazing. However, I contemplated not adding it because we did not love the pasta and the margherita pizza was very cheesy by itself. With this being said, the pepperoni was perfect. So, possibly ask for less cheese if you aren’t getting any additional toppings. They also have outdoor seating which was nice. Keep in mind the picture on the left above was not taken at the restaurant.
If you try this place please comment what you think because I currently have a love/like relationship and I want to hear thoughts.
