Bryce Canyon - How to Spend the Best Day

We only had 24 hours in Bryce Canyon National Park, but after our visit we felt like we saw a lot in that short time. I promise that we do sometimes stay more than 24 hours in one place. It just so happens that the last couple of posts around National Parks have been quick visits! Below I’ve compiled a few of our favorite spots for what to do and what to see in Bryce

What to do in Bryce Canyon National Park:

1) Hike the Navajo Loop

Bryce Canyon National Park
Wall Street on the Navajo Loop

This short loop is only about 1.4 miles (2.2 km) total, but if you stop, take pictures, and admire the rock formations then it will take around 2 hours. Otherwise, you can speed through in about an hour if you are on a time crunch. Notable spots along the way are Wall Street and Queen Victoria. This trail splits early on and then comes back together.

Of the two paths you can take for this trail (Two Bridges or Wall Street) I would say Wall Street is the way to go. But you could always double back and see both, if you have the time.  Note: The Wall Street side is closed during the winter. Check the park website for updates. As for Queen Victoria, she is a quick offshoot, so be sure to pay her a visit

Also be on the lookout for animals, we saw chipmunks along the way!

2) Hike the Rim Trail

I think it’s pretty common that rim hikes around canyons tend to be worth it, but I’m throwing it on here just in case you were questioning it. We were not able to hike the entire trail, but we hiked part of it and really enjoyed the views.

What to See in Bryce Canyon National Park:

Bryce Canyon arches.

Besides the rock formations I mentioned earlier, there are several tunnels and archways along the Navajo Loop, which can be great picture spots. Another great picture spot is this random log we found below. I don’t remember exactly where it is, but be on the lookout for the picture log.

Bryce always feels like another world, so definitely take the time to visit.

On a previous trip I rode down the canyon on horseback. I don’t have any pictures, but would recommend looking into that if you have more time :).
